Decision training · CS2 + Dota 2

Think like a pro.
Decide before they do.

GamerFlix pauses real pro plays from CS2 and Dota 2 at the second the decision was made. You choose what you'd do, score 0 to 100 points, and see what the pro did and why. Each drill takes a minute or two, in your browser.

How it works

Watch. Decide. Learn.

Reading the game and deciding fast is what separates one rank from the next. Here you train exactly that, with real moments from pro matches, cut at the second the decision matters, without playing a whole match.

  1. 01 / Watch

    The real play, in 2D

Positions, shots and grenades from a pro round, or the map, the draft and the items of a Dota match, up to the key moment.

  2. 02 / Decide

    The replay pauses. Now what?

Hold the angle, fall back or take the duel? Which hero, which item? Your call.

  3. 03 / Learn

What the pro did, and why

The pro's play is worth 100 points, and other good choices earn part of it. Read the explanation and see how the play ended.

Training modes

Nine modes. Each one trains a skill.

Five for CS2, four for Dota 2. All of them built from real pro matches, and at the end, what the pro did.

Play one drill of each mode now, no account needed
CS2
Mirage map with the pro's Window smoke, the grenade's path from T spawn and the player's guess

Utility

Where does the smoke have to land?

Click the map. Then see the pro's lineup, the grenade's path and the command to practice it in game.

Round 2 economy: each player's money, the loss bonus and what each one bought

Economy

Full buy, force or eco?

Read the team's money and the loss bonus, decide the buy and compare it with the pro team's.

Map with the position the player chose and the pro's position on B

Positioning

Where do you hold the round?

You see your team, not the enemy. Pick your spot and compare it with the pro's and with how the round ended.

3D hands on the keyboard and the keys' timeline: the counter-strafe before the shot

Pro's hands

How did they stop before the shot?

The pro's real keys and mouse in slow motion. Read the counter-strafe and the milliseconds to the shot.

Dota 2
Dota 2 map with the player's Observer Ward and the pro's, and the enemies each one saw

Vision

Where does the Observer go?

Place the ward and watch the next 6 minutes: how many enemies yours saw, and how many the pro's did.

Dota 2 map with the team at the Roshan pit, the spot the player chose and the pro team's

Macro

Roshan, Tormentor or high ground?

Read the map under the fog of war, who's dead and the gold. Decide, then see what the pro team did.

Itemization

What's the next item, and why?

Your net worth, your items and every enemy's items. Pick the item and the reason, then see the pro's whole build.

Draft+

Which position is missing, and which hero?

Win rates against the enemy team in pro matches, the lane at 10 minutes and how the pick turned out.

Your progress

One drill a day. A profile that shows where to improve.

  • Daily drills

One drill of each mode of the game you pick: 5 in CS2, 4 in Dota 2, or all 9 alternating between them.

  • Skill profile

Your rating and rank in each game, and a radar of each skill: utility, economy, mechanics, vision, macro.

  • Review mistakes

A drill you did badly on comes back to your list until you get it right.

Example profile: skill radars for CS2 (decision, utility, economy, positioning, mechanics) and Dota 2 (draft, items, vision, macro)
Example profile (the training screens are in Portuguese for now).
CS2 leaderboard: the top seven by rating and, below, your rank: 190th of 4,813, top 4%
After a drill: the CS2 rating goes from 1,820 to 1,827 and the season gains 100 points

Leaderboard and season

Climb the leaderboard. Win the season.

Every drill moves your rating: getting a hard drill right is worth more. See your rank in CS2 and Dota 2, and compete in the monthly season with everyone who trains every day.

  • A rating per game. Only the first attempt counts: memorizing the answer doesn't help
  • Monthly season: the first 3 drills of each day count, for everyone
  • The top 3 of the month get a badge on their profile
  • You choose to appear, with any nickname you like. Your name and email never show

The pro's hands

Every key. Every click. In slow motion.

See what the pro pressed during the play: movement, crouch, jump, every shot and the path of the crosshair. The counter-strafe before the shot, the mouse pulling down the recoil, frame by frame.

  • AD Counter-strafe: stop, aim, shoot
  • Ctrl Crouch mid-spray
  • Mouse 1 Every shot, right on time

Keys shown on the default layout; each player's binds may differ.

Dota 2

Map, draft and items

Read the map like a captain.

The pro match stops at the minute of the decision: where the ward goes, whether it's time for Roshan, which item to buy, which hero to pick. You decide, then watch on the map what the pro team did in the seconds after.

  • Fog of war: you only see what your team would see
  • Dead heroes, respawn times and the gold lead
  • A replay of what happened, with every kill and every tower

Questions

Before you start

How much does it cost?

Training is free, 3 drills a day. An unlimited plan is coming to players outside Brazil later.

Is it in English?

This page is. The training screens and the drills are in Portuguese for now and are being translated; English comes first to the most played modes.

What do I get from training?

Game sense. Each drill is a real situation where a pro had to decide: force buy or save, where to throw the smoke, save the weapon or go for the round, which item to buy. You decide before you see the answer and understand why, something that would take many matches to learn on your own. We don't promise you'll rank up, but you'll start recognizing these situations when they happen in your own games.

How long does it take?

Each drill takes a minute or two. The daily drills are one of each mode of the game you pick: about 10 minutes for one game, 15 for both.

Which training modes are there?

In CS2: Utility, Economy, Positioning and Pro's hands. In Dota 2: Vision, Macro, Itemization and Draft+. Plus the decision drill: the replay pauses and you pick the play.

How does the leaderboard work?

Each game has a rating that goes up or down with every drill, and only your first attempt at a drill counts. Every month there's a new season: the first 3 drills of each day count, for everyone. The leaderboard is for account holders only, and you only appear if you want to, with a nickname. Players under 18 never appear by name.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Treino runs in your browser.

Are the plays real?

Yes. Every drill comes from a real pro match, from the matches' official recordings (demos and replays).

Is GamerFlix connected to Valve?

No. GamerFlix is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve.

Your next clutch starts with the decision.
